Three Named to National Club Softball Association All-America Teams

JONESBORO — Three players on Arkansas State University’s club softball team have been
named to the National Club Softball Association (NCSA) All-America teams.
Outfielder Keely Curtis of Harrisburg is a member of the first team, while outfielder
Ali Law of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and pitcher Courtney Foreman of Crossett have been selected
to the third team. A-State finished sixth nationally at the NCSA World Series in Columbus,
Ga., May 23.
Curtis led her team in hitting with 19 runs and 41 hits in 63 trips to the plate on
the season. The left-hander also recorded four doubles, nine triples and 16 RBIs.
She also finished the year with eight stolen bases and had a team-high .651 batting
average.
Law, a junior, finished her season with 10 runs, along with 17 hits, six doubles,
and a triple. She batted in 10 players and had eight walks. The righthander also had
five stolen bases. Her batting average is .405.
As A-State’s lone senior, Foreman led the pitching staff with a 1.45 ERA. During the
season, which was shortened due to the pandemic as well as wet weather conditions
forcing cancellations, Foreman struck out nine in eight appearances.
The Red Wolves competed in the NCSA World Series for the eighth time in 2021. A-State
brought home a national title in 2017 and finished as the tournament runner-up in
2018.
