Grown for Community
Education comes first—but our reach goes further with innovative research and outreach
that serve communities across the region.
The Judd Hill Farmers’ Market is a nonprofit dedicated to providing a locally owned
and operated farmers’ market for Jonesboro and the surrounding area.
Since 2000, the A-State Equine Center has been the place for students to learn, train
and explore their love of horses. From FFA contests to summer horse shows, it’s also
where the local equine community comes together.
At the Aggie Market, you can shop goods made right on campus by our students—fresh
from our state-of-the-art processing facility. Find us at the Judd Hill Farmers’ Market
Building on Aggie Road in Jonesboro.
For nearly 30 years, the A-State Agribusiness Conference has connected producers,
students, and industry leaders with the latest trends shaping agriculture—drawing
500+ participants every year.
The Arkansas Soil and Water Education Conference unites farmers, consultants, policymakers,
and students for one powerful day focused on the latest issues and best practices
in soil and water conservation.
The Bill and Alice Nix Farm Day is a twice-a-year event where families and students
can enjoy animals, farming, and fun. It’s become one of the community’s favorite traditions.
Learning in the Field
Discover agriculture where it happens. With opportunities at our University Farm,
in Cooperative Extension, and through internships, Learning in the Field gives you the skills and experiences to launch your career.
The Farm and Agricultural Teaching & Research Center is more than 240 acres of hands-on learning. It’s where students and faculty work
together on research, teaching and outreach that bring agriculture to life.
The College of Agriculture partners closely with the University of Arkansas Division
of Agriculture, working together through the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station
and the Cooperative Extension Service.
Internships give you the chance to take what you’ve learned in class and put it to
work in the real world. With guidance from faculty and industry partners, you’ll gain
hands-on experience that sets you apart.
Leadership in Agriculture Student & Alumni Opportunities

advisory partnerships, student organizations, and ambassador programs, we prepare
