The ITS department at A-State is dedicated to providing a safe, easy to use digital environment so you can focus more on what matters the most. Our mission is to:
- Educate and help faculty, staff, and students to make smart security decisions based on policies, tools, and awareness training. (View Trainings)
- Develop, maintain, and test Disaster Recovery plans.
- Develop and communicate information security procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Promote an effective information security awareness and training program to meet the needs of the University.
- Manage and respond effectively to information security incidents.
- Support University compliance efforts related to IT and Information Security.

To prevent any exposure to your data or other university systems, or if you notice any suspicious activity, you should immediately:
- Check if your department has a designated IT Support person, contact them to check your device.
- If you do not have a designated IT Support person, or do not know who that person is, please contact ITS Help Desk at 870-972-3933 so the appropriate individuals can be contacted. The ITS Help Desk can be found in the Dean B. Ellis Library, Room 149. View the Help Desk page.

Preventing Phishing
ITS or any A-State department will never ask for your password via email or text.
- Disregard and block any suspicious message and sender.
- Reset your A-State password immediately, and any other account passwords that may be compromised.
- If you received an email through your A-State email account please contact ITS security at 870.972.3770 or security@astate.edu.
