JONESBORO – More than 150 students connected with 10 employers during the Neil Griffin College of Business Internship Open House.

A university video captures the event, as students and recruiters came together on campus to discuss internships, career paths, and the candidate skills employers are seeking.

Employer participation was a key aspect of the event, with representatives actively recruiting and speaking directly with students about available positions, their organizations, and what they look for in interns and employees.

Participating organizations included Hybar, the event’s primary sponsor, J.B. Hunt, Watco, New Horizon Bank, the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, H&R Block, State Farm, Enterprise Mobility, Centennial Bank, and Northwestern Mutual.

During the open house, students introduced themselves to recruiters, asked questions, explored various industries, and became more comfortable in conversations with employers. The event also gave them direct exposure to organizations and career paths they may not have considered before.

Students also heard testimonials from fellow Griffin students who had completed internships. They shared what they learned on the job, the skills they developed, and how their experiences helped them better understand what they want from their future careers.

By bringing employers, recruiters, and students together in one space, the Internship Open House gave Griffin students a practical way to explore opportunities, build connections, and see how internship experience can translate into the next step of their careers.
