Homeschool Fair to be Offered at HPMEC

JONESBORO – The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center (HPMEC) and Matilda and Karl Pfeiffer Museum will host a homeschool fair from 10 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, Sept. 29.  
 
“The purpose of the event is to inform parents of the homeschooling programming and resources the community has to offer,” said Shannon Williams, site director of HPMEC.  
 
Williams said they want to help parents find resources for children’s homeschool programs. 
 
“We want the public to know we are not only a heritage museum, but we also offer a range of programming for students and adults,” Williams added.  
 
During the two-hour event, she said they will share details on upcoming programming opportunities for elementary and high school-aged students. The event will include games, painting and other activities for children. 
 
“This is most beneficial to parents new to homeschooling their children. We offer assistance in the state class wallet procedures and inform them of the area resources available to them,” she added. 

Participants in this event include the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Piggott Public Library, Rector Public Library, Rector Community Museum, Blytheville Delta Gateway Museum and U of A.
