Marketing and Communications Team Picks up Seven ADDYs for Creative Work
JONESBORO – Evidence of the quality work by the Division of Marketing and Communications
at Arkansas State University is represented by the seven American Advertising Awards
(ADDYs) they won in competition conducted by the Northeast Arkansas chapter of the
American Advertising Federation.
The awards recognize outstanding creative achievement in a number of categories.
The Gold award-winning entries, which will advance to district competition, were:
-- Publication design for the “100 Years of the Alumni Association” issue of Voices magazine.
-- Poster campaign, and illustration (two awards), for the 2025-26 A-State Theatre
season.
The Silver award-winning entries were:
-- Animation, special effects, motion graphics and branded content for “New Student

-- Copywriting and online film, video, and sound for “One Day, One Pack” (https://vimeo.com/1065550276).
The Bronze winners were:
-- Online film, video and sound for “One Pack, Day of Giving.”
-- Non-broadcast branded content and entertainment, “New Student Orientation Student
Tips.”
Members of the Publications and Creative Services team who worked on the Gold award-winning
entries are Mary Melton, who designed the Voices commemorative magazine for the Alumni
Association, and Lourdes Hernandez, who designed the theatre projects.
Members of the Digital Creative Media team who worked on the Silver and Bronze award-winning
entries are Andy Geswein, director, Carla Wehmeyer, photographer, and Dario Ponce
and Kenzi Cutler, videographers.
These departments are under the oversight of Todd Clark, chief marketing and communications
officer at A-State.
