Education & Outreach

An A-State student provides help to a K-12 visitor.
We provide communities, educational units, and others with knowledge to solve real-world problems. Visitors can deepen their understanding through direct experience and prepare for a future career.

Peek inside the world of biosciences research!

Although research is the central focus of Arkansas State University Bioscience Institute, education and industry outreach are integral parts of its mission.

Walk Through Our Universe

Visit the Voyage Model Solar System
The exhibit was created by the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education and the Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Space Science Education. This active learning 1 to 10-billion scale model of the solar system, all dimensions depicted – including the diameters of the Sun, planets and moons, and the distances between worlds – are one 10-billionth actual size.
Thirteen interactive stanchions allow visitors to explore the solar system. You will want to start at the Sun, near ABI and Bookout Plaza, but any sequence will work; each stanchion includes a visual guide to the location of the others in relation to campus landmarks.
