If you ever feel uneasy walking alone on campus, day or night, just call University
Police at (870) 972-2093. An officer will meet you and walk with you to your on-campus
destination. Just remember, it’s a walk-along service, no matter the weather. Your
safety matters, and we’re always here to help.
Emergency Phones
Emergency phones are easy to spot across campus—look for the blue light towers. When activated, the light begins flashing. It immediately connects you to the University
Police. You'll also find wall-mounted emergency phones inside many residence halls

Victim Assistance
If you’ve experienced a crime or are supporting someone who has, A-State offers confidential
tools to help you stay informed and supported.
- Laura’s Card: A resource for victims that outlines your legal rights, available services, and next
steps after reporting a crime.
- VINE: A notification system that lets you track the custody status of an offender and get
updates about their release.
It’s true—University Police are here to keep you safe. But at A-State, we believe
safety is also a shared responsibility between students, faculty, and staff. Lock your
doors. Walk with friends at night. Watch out for one another in and out of class.
Choose well-lit paths and speak up when something doesn’t feel right.
And never hesitate to call University Police—whether you need a walking escort, want to report suspicious activity, or just aren’t
sure what to do.
Because when it comes to safety, we all have a role to play.
The men and women of the Arkansas State University Police Department are committed
