Student Support Services

Who is eligible?
A student is eligible to participate in Student Support Services if they meet the following requirements:
- Is a U.S. citizen.
- Is enrolled at A-State or accepted for enrollment in the upcoming academic year.
- Demonstrates a need for academic support to successfully pursue a bachelor's degree.
- Meets at least ONE of the following:
- Low-income student (receiving the Pell Grant)
- First-generation college student (neither parent has a bachelor's degree)
- An individual with documented disabilities
Services Provided

Peer-to-Peer Tutoring
SSS offers individualized tutoring for General Education courses and select upper-level courses such as Nursing and Engineering.
Tutors are available for walk-ins or appointments via Penji!

Assistance with FAFSA
Unsure about the FAFSA? Student Support Services is available to help you and/or your parents/guardians complete the application and answer any questions.
Student Support Services does not provide financial aid or assistance.
Summer Bridge Program

Want to move in early and jump start your college career? Each summer, incoming freshmen or transfer students have the opportunity to move in a week before the Fall semester begins! While here, students will take part in a week of college prep workshops/activities as well as fun recreational activities around Jonesboro.
- SSS coordinates with University Housing to make sure your assignment is ready for an early move in!
- We cover costs for all meals and recreational activities for the week!
- Connect with other incoming students and upperclassmen mentors!
